Sri JCBM College, Sringeri, hosted the inauguration programme of the second batch of CA and CS coaching classes on 27 August 2026. The programme was conducted in association with V-Reach Academy, Udupi , marking the continuation of the successful academic initiative for the second consecutive year. The programme was organized with the objective of providing students with professional guidance and an opportunity to prepare for the prestigious Chartered Accountancy (CA) and Company Secretary (CS) examinations. The initiative aims to encourage students to pursue professional courses along with their regular degree education and enhance their career opportunities in the fields of commerce, finance, taxation, corporate law and management. The representatives and faculty members of V-Reach Academy, Udupi , interacted with the students and highlighted the scope, career opportunities and preparation strategies associated with CA and CS courses. ಶ್ರೀ ಜೇಸಿಬಿಎಂ ಕಾಲೇಜು, ಶೃಂಗೇರಿ ಯಲ್ಲಿ ಪದವಿ ವಿಭಾಗದ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಸುಪ್ತ ಪ್ರತಿಭೆಯನ್ನು ಗುರುತಿಸಿ, ಪ್ರೋತ್ಸಾಹಿಸುವ ಉದ್ದೇಶದಿಂದ 25-08-2026 ರಂದು ಪ್ರತಿಭಾನ್ವೇಷಣೆ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವನ್ನು ಆಯೋಜಿಸಲಾಯಿತು. ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳ ಸೃಜನಶೀಲತೆ, ಆತ್ಮವಿಶ್ವಾಸ ಹಾಗೂ ಸಾಂಸ್ಕೃತಿಕ ಪ್ರತಿಭೆಯನ್ನು ಅನಾವರಣಗೊಳಿಸಲು ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವು ಉತ್ತಮ ವೇದಿಕೆಯಾಯಿತು. ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷತೆಯನ್ನು ಕಾಲೇಜಿನ ಪ್ರಾಚಾರ್ಯರಾದ ಡಾ. ಸ್ವಾಮಿ ಅವರು ವಹಿಸಿದ್ದರು. ಖ್ಯಾತ ನಿರೂಪಕರಾದ ಕುಮಾರಿ ಪ್ರಣೀತಾ ಅವರು ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವನ್ನು ಉದ್ಘಾಟಿಸಿ, ದೀಪ ಬೆಳಗಿಸಿದರು. ಮಾತನಾಡಿದ ಅವರು, ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ಜೀವನದಲ್ಲಿ ಉನ್ನತ ಸ್ಥಾನವನ್ನು ಗಳಿಸಬೇಕೆಂದು ಸದಾ ಹಾರೈಸುವವರು ತಂದೆ-ತಾಯಿ ಹಾಗೂ ಪಾಠ ಕಲಿಸಿದ ಗುರುಗಳು ಎಂದು ತಿಳಿಸಿದರು. ಆದ್ದರಿಂದ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ತಮ್ಮ ಗುರುಗಳ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಸದಾ ಗೌರವ ಮತ್ತು ಕೃತಜ್ಞತೆಯ ಭಾವನೆಯನ್ನು ಹೊಂದಿರಬೇಕು ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದರು. ಸ್ಪರ್ಧೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಸೋಲು-ಗೆಲುವು ಸಹಜವಾಗಿದ್ದು, ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಬ್ಬ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಯೂ ಸ್ಪರ್ಧೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಸಕ್ರಿಯವಾಗಿ ಭಾಗವಹಿಸಿ, ಸೋಲು ಮತ್ತು ಗೆಲುವನ್ನು ಸಮಾನವಾಗಿ ಸ್ವೀಕರಿಸುವ ದೃಢ ಮನೋಭಾವವನ್ನು ಬೆಳೆಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕು ಎಂದು ಅವರು ಕರೆ ನೀಡಿದರು. ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದಲ್ಲಿ ವಿಶ್ವಸ್ತ ಮಂಡಳಿಯ ಸದಸ್ಯರಾದ ಶ್ರೀ ಮಂಜುನಾಥ್ ಕಂಬಳಗದ್ದೆ ಹಾಗೂ ಶ್ರೀಯುತ ತ್ಯಾಗರಾಜ್ ಹೆಚ್ ಎಲ್   ಅವರು ಮುಖ್ಯ ಅತಿ...

 The  SHe-Box Committee of Sri JCBM College, Sringeri , organized an interaction programme for the first-year degree girl students on 19 August 2026 . The programme focused on creating awareness about women’s safety, security, rights and various issues faced by young women. The committee members interacted with the students and provided a comfortable platform for them to openly discuss their concerns, experiences and safety-related issues. During the interaction, students were sensitized about personal safety, prevention of harassment, reporting concerns, and the support mechanisms available in the college . The importance of confidence, mutual respect, awareness and maintaining a safe and inclusive campus environment was emphasized. The programme provided an opportunity for the students to express their views and seek guidance, making the interaction meaningful and beneficial in promoting women’s safety, dignity and empowerment

World Elephant Day 2026 was observed on 12 August 2026 through an awareness programme organized by the Karnataka Forest Department, Bhadra Tiger Reserve, Chikkamagaluru , at Prof. S. P. Hiremath Hall, Kuvempu University, Shankaraghatta . The programme aimed to create awareness about elephant conservation, wildlife protection, biodiversity and the importance of preserving forest habitats. As part of the nationwide “Nasha Mukt Yuva for Viksit Bharat Sankalp Abhiyan” , initiated by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India , a special youth awareness programme was held at Sri JCBM College, Sringeri , on Sunday, 2 August 2026. The Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports selected educational institutions across the country to participate in this important national initiative. Sri JCBM College, Sringeri, was selected as one of the participating institutions under Kuvempu University to facilitate the participation of students in the nationwide programme. A Blood Donation Camp was organized at Sri JCBM College, Sringeri , on 31  July 2026 , with the active collaboration of Abhinava Multi Speciality Hospital, Sharada Blood Bank, NSS, RRC, NCC, Red Cross, and Rover and Ranger Units of Sri JCBM College, Sringeri. The camp was organized with the objective of creating awareness among students and the community about the importance of voluntary blood donation and encouraging young people to contribute towards saving precious lives. Students and volunteers actively participated in the camp and came forward to donate blood. The programme witnessed enthusiastic participation and reflected the spirit of social responsibility, compassion and community service among the students. A total of 45 units of blood were collected during the camp.
