One-Day Faculty Orientation Programme 2026: Strengthening Quality Teaching through Outcome-Based Education

Empowering Faculty for Quality Higher Education

With the vision of promoting academic excellence and continuous quality enhancement, the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of Sri JCBM College, Sringeri, successfully organized a One-Day Faculty Orientation Programme on 25 July 2026. The programme aimed to strengthen faculty competencies in modern teaching-learning practices, assessment strategies, and Outcome-Based Education (OBE) in alignment with the quality benchmarks of NAAC.

The orientation brought together the teaching faculty of the institution for a day of meaningful learning, professional interaction, and academic enrichment.

The programme commenced with a formal inaugural ceremony in the presence of distinguished dignitaries:

The highlight of the programme was the comprehensive and interactive technical session delivered by Dr. Madhu G, Principal of Kuvempu Shatamanotsava Shikshana Mahavidyalaya (K.S.S.M.), Shivamogga.

Drawing upon his extensive academic experience, Dr. Madhu G explained the concepts of assessment, evaluation, and Outcome-Based Education with practical examples and real classroom scenarios.  On 26th September 2025, the Youth Red Cross Unit and NSS Units of Shri JCBM College, Sringeri jointly organized an insightful talk titled “ Food for Health .” The resource person, Dr. Suhas H. D. Doctor,Dhanwanthari hospital,sringeri   addressed the gathering and highlighted the importance of balanced food habits and mindful consumption in maintaining good health.
