Blood Donation Camp
A Blood Donation Camp was organized at Sri JCBM College, Sringeri, on 31 July 2026, with the active collaboration of Abhinava Multi Speciality Hospital, Sharada Blood Bank, NSS, RRC, NCC, Red Cross, and Rover and Ranger Units of Sri JCBM College, Sringeri.
The camp was organized with the objective of creating awareness among students and the community about the importance of voluntary blood donation and encouraging young people to contribute towards saving precious lives.
Students and volunteers actively participated in the camp and came forward to donate blood. The programme witnessed enthusiastic participation and reflected the spirit of social responsibility, compassion and community service among the students.
A total of 45 units of blood were collected during the camp. The collected blood will help support patients in need of blood and contribute to strengthening the availability of blood for medical emergencies.
The medical team from Abhinava Multi Speciality Hospital and Sharada Blood Bank guided the donors throughout the process and ensured that the blood donation was carried out safely and systematically.
The active involvement of the NSS, RRC, NCC, Red Cross, and Rover and Ranger Units played an important role in the successful conduct of the camp. The initiative provided students with an opportunity to understand the importance of voluntary blood donation and their responsibility towards society.
The Blood Donation Camp concluded successfully with appreciation for all the donors, volunteers, medical personnel and organizing units whose collective efforts made the programme meaningful.
