A Self-Defense Program was successfully organized on 20th February 2026 at Sri JCBM College, Sringeri, with the objective of creating awareness among students about personal safety and equipping them with essential self-protection techniques. The program was chaired by Dr. M. Swamy, Principal of Sri JCBM College, Sringeri. In his presidential address, he emphasized the importance of self-defense skills in the present scenario and encouraged students to develop confidence, courage, and alertness in their daily lives. He highlighted that such training programs contribute to both physical fitness and mental strength. The Resource Person for the program was Sri Garish, a professional Taekwondo Trainer.  The CPR Awareness and Training Program was successfully organized at JCBM College on 18-02-2022 with the objective of creating awareness about life-saving techniques and providing practical training in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR). The program was conducted under the leadership and guidance of Dr. Yogish Kumar. The program was jointly organized by the Youth Red Cross and NSS units in association with the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC). The initiative aimed to equip students with essential first-aid skills, enabling them to respond effectively during medical emergencies such as cardiac arrest, choking, and unconsciousness.  On 26th September 2025, the Youth Red Cross Unit and NSS Units of Shri JCBM College, Sringeri jointly organized an insightful talk titled “ Food for Health .” The resource person, Dr. Suhas H. D. Doctor,Dhanwanthari hospital,sringeri   addressed the gathering and highlighted the importance of balanced food habits and mindful consumption in maintaining good health.   The 79th Independence Day was celebrated with great patriotic fervor at Sri JCBM College, Sringeri . The program commenced with the hoisting of the National Flag by Dr. M. Swamy, Principal of the College , who also addressed the gathering. In his speech, he highlighted the significance of freedom, the sacrifices of great leaders, and the responsibility of the younger generation in nation-building. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from NCC cadets, NSS volunteers, Red Cross members, teaching staff, and non-teaching staff .   A workshop on  Fire Hazards and Management was successfully organized on March 3, 2025 , under the joint initiative of the Youth Red Cross Unit and the NSS Unit . The objective of the workshop was to create awareness about fire hazards and equip participants with knowledge on fire prevention and safety measures. The session was led by Mr. M. Kumar and Mr. Somashekar , Fire Station Officers from Sringeri , who attended as resource persons . They provided valuable insights into various types of fire hazards, safety protocols, and preventive measures.
