Sri Shankara Jayanti Celebration

 The Sri   Shankara Jayanti program was organized at Sri JCBM College. On this occasion, Sri Umesh Harihara from Srimath, Sringeri, inaugurated the event and addressed the gathering. He stated that Adi Shankaracharya, considered an incarnation of Lord Shiva who worked for the upliftment of the traditional Hindu faith during a time of decline, was a great personality who traveled across the entire country spreading the message of unity. He further explained that while Lord Vishnu, in his incarnations as Rama and Krishna, destroyed evil through weapons, Lord Shiva, in his incarnation as Shankaracharya, used sacred texts and knowledge as his tools to protect the good and reform the wicked. By writing explanations on important religious texts such as the Bhagavad Gita, Brahma Sutras, and Upanishads, and by traveling throughout India, Shankaracharya succeeded in fostering unity among followers of the traditional faith within a short span of 32 years. The event, organized under the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), served as a meaningful tribute to one of India’s greatest social reformers and the chief architect of the Indian Constitution.  A Blood Donation Camp themed “Donate Blood, Save Lives” was successfully organized on 10th April 2026 at the Department of Zoology, Sri JCBM College, Sringeri , affiliated to Kuvempu University. The initiative reflected the institution’s strong commitment to community service and social responsibility.  The Tailoring Class Inauguration Programe was held on 7th April 2026 at Sri JCBM College, Sringeri under the aegis of the Personality and Skill Development Committee. The programme was organized with the objective of empowering girl students by enhancing their practical skills and promoting self-reliance. The programme was inaugurated by the Principal, Dr. M. Swamy. The event was graced by PU Principal A.G. A Self-Defense Program was successfully organized on 20th February 2026 at Sri JCBM College, Sringeri, with the objective of creating awareness among students about personal safety and equipping them with essential self-protection techniques. The program was chaired by Dr. M. Swamy, Principal of Sri JCBM College, Sringeri. In his presidential address, he emphasized the importance of self-defense skills in the present scenario and encouraged students to develop confidence, courage, and alertness in their daily lives.
