 The Department of Economics , Sri J.C.B.M. College, Sringeri, organized a one-day workshop on “Traditional Paddy Varieties in the Malnad Region” on 16th September 2025 in the college’s Main Hall. The event aimed to create awareness among students about the preservation and promotion of indigenous paddy varieties and their significance in sustainable agriculture. The program commenced at 11:30 AM with a warm welcome address by Kum. Adhiti , III B.A., who greeted the dignitaries, faculty members, and students. In his introductory remarks , Prof. Vidyadhar M. V. , Head of the Department of Economics, emphasized the importance of conserving traditional paddy varieties and discussed their relevance to rural development and environmental sustainability . Problems and perspectives of Areca Nut Farming program was conducted on 31/07/2023. Prof Nagarajappa Adivappar from Keladi Shivappanayaka Agricultural n Horticultural University shivamogga participated as a resource person. He gave information regarding management of areca nut farming. V A Srikrishna , Senior Director Horticulture Dep Sringeri, Dr Narayana Swamy , Dr Sanjeev Senior research  Scientist , Areca nut reserch center Sringeri. Sri Suresh Chandra , Director MAMCOS , Sringeri inaugurated the program. 285 Students participated and obtained usefull informations

 A talk on how to prepare and face the exam was given by Professor V R HEGDE , Ret Pricipal ,Tunga Mahavidyalaya, Thirthahalli . Dep of Economics organized this program   

A Mock Interview session was conducted for Final BA Students by Dep of ECONOMICS. Pro Vidyadhar MV , Sri Krishnaprasad, Sri Nagendra ,Sri Rajesh conducted Interview for Students
