The program was conducted under the leadership and guidance of Dr. Yogish Kumar.
The program was jointly organized by the Youth Red Cross and NSS units in association with the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC). The event was chaired by Dr. Yogish Kumar, who addressed the gathering and emphasized the importance of timely medical intervention during emergencies. In his presidential remarks, he highlighted that basic knowledge of CPR can make a significant difference in saving human lives and encouraged students to actively participate in such training programs.
The resource persons for the session were Prof. Ramalinga Sajjanar and Ms. Roopa, Vice Principal of Sri Sharada Institute. They delivered informative and practical sessions on the fundamentals of CPR, including identifying cardiac arrest symptoms, performing chest compressions, maintaining airway circulation, and understanding the importance of immediate response before professional medical help arrives.
The resource persons demonstrated the correct techniques of CPR using practical methods and explained the step-by-step procedure clearly. Students were given an opportunity to practice CPR techniques under supervision, which enhanced their confidence and practical understanding. The interactive nature of the session helped students clarify their doubts and gain hands-on experience.
