Blood Donation Camp
A Blood Donation Camp themed “Donate Blood, Save Lives” was successfully organized on 10th April 2026 at the Department of Zoology, Sri JCBM College, Sringeri, affiliated to Kuvempu University. The initiative reflected the institution’s strong commitment to community service and social responsibility.
The camp was jointly organized by the college’s National Service Scheme (NSS), Youth Red Cross, Red Ribbon Club, and Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) in collaboration with Sri Abhinava Vidyatheeertha Multispeciality Hospital, Sringeri, and Junior Chamber International (JCI), Sringeri.
The program was inaugurated by Dr. Lakshminarayan, Medical Officer of Abhinava Vidyatheeertha Multispeciality Hospital. JC Kavya Prasad, President of JCI Sringeri, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. The event was presided over by the Principal, Dr. M. Swamy, who appreciated the organizers and encouraged students to actively participate in such humanitarian initiatives.
Several dignitaries were present during the program, including JC Sujan, Dr. Vasanth Chavan, Nagabhoshan B.R., along with coordinators of NSS and Youth Red Cross units. Their presence added significance to the event and motivated the participants.
The camp witnessed enthusiastic participation from students and volunteers, who came forward to donate blood with a sense of duty and compassion. Medical professionals ensured that the donation process was carried out safely and efficiently, adhering to all health protocols.
The event successfully highlighted the importance of voluntary blood donation and instilled a sense of service among the youth. It served as a reminder that a small act of kindness can save precious lives and strengthen the spirit of humanity
