Inauguration of Coaching Classes for Competitive Examinations

Sri J.C.B.M. College, Sringeri, organized the inauguration of coaching classes for competitive examinations for the students of the B.A. programme on 10 September 2026. The programme was organized by the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) with the objective of providing students with systematic guidance and academic support to prepare for various competitive examinations and to encourage them to explore career opportunities in government and other public-sector services.

The programme featured Dr. Shivkumar, Assistant Professor, Department of Economics, Government First Grade College, Sringeri, as the resource person. In his interaction with the students, Dr. Shivkumar highlighted the importance of developing a focused approach towards competitive examinations, understanding the examination pattern and syllabus, and following a consistent study schedule. He encouraged students to make effective use of learning resources and develop knowledge in areas such as current affairs, general knowledge, economics, and other subjects relevant to competitive examinations.

The coaching programme is intended to provide B.A. students with continuous guidance, improve their confidence and examination skills, and motivate them to pursue career opportunities through competitive examinations. The initiative reflects the commitment of Sri J.C.B.M. College and IQAC towards student progression, career development, and holistic education by providing students with opportunities and guidance beyond the regular curriculum.

 On 26th September 2025, the Youth Red Cross Unit and NSS Units of Shri JCBM College, Sringeri jointly organized an insightful talk titled “ Food for Health .” The resource person, Dr. Suhas H. D. Doctor,Dhanwanthari hospital,sringeri   addressed the gathering and highlighted the importance of balanced food habits and mindful consumption in maintaining good health. He emphasized how dietary choices directly influence physical well-being, immunity, and lifestyle diseases.
