On 18th September 2025 , the Department of Botany, Sri J.C.B.M. College, Sringeri organized an Extension Program for the Botany students of Veerashaiva College, Ballari . The focus of the program was on field identification of plants and understanding local biodiversity within the college campus. As a part of their curriculum, the visiting students engaged in a practical learning session guided by our Botany faculty. They explored the rich flora of the campus, learned about diverse plant species, and studied their ecological significance. The session also highlighted the importance of biodiversity conservation and hands-on field study for better understanding of theoretical concepts. Food for Health

 On 26th September 2025, the Youth Red Cross Unit and NSS Units of Shri JCBM College, Sringeri jointly organized an insightful talk titled “ Food for Health .” The resource person, Dr. Suhas H. D. Doctor,Dhanwanthari hospital,sringeri   addressed the gathering and highlighted the importance of balanced food habits and mindful consumption in maintaining good health. He emphasized how dietary choices directly influence physical well-being, immunity, and lifestyle diseases. His engaging session helped students gain practical knowledge about adopting healthy food practices in their daily lives. The event was graced by the presence of Dr. M.
