A Self-Defense Program was successfully organized on 20th February 2026 at Sri JCBM College, Sringeri, with the objective of creating awareness among students about personal safety and equipping them with essential self-protection techniques. The program was chaired by Dr. M. Swamy, Principal of Sri JCBM College, Sringeri. In his presidential address, he emphasized the importance of self-defense skills in the present scenario and encouraged students to develop confidence, courage, and alertness in their daily lives. He highlighted that such training programs contribute to both physical fitness and mental strength. The Resource Person for the program was Sri Garish, a professional Taekwondo Trainer. On the occasion of National Unity Day  celebrated annually on 31st October to commemorate the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel , the Iron Man of India , a special program was organized at Sri J.C.B.M.
